Monday’s second event: lunch next to the Laurens Church. A welcome meal for many as the opening show lasted all morning.
Don’t lose your group because everywhere you look, you see fellow students. Only which ones are your group mates?
Fortunately, the number signs came along from Ahoy. Just wave so you can be found again.
Not only the first-years need to eat, the Eurekaweek board members (recognisable by the waistcoats) should not forget to get some nutrients in.
Lunch need not be in silence thanks to the DJ and audio equipment.
Queuing up is part of the deal when you join an introduction week by the thousands. A good moment though for the first chats and the debrief of the bike ride across the Erasmus Bridge.
What then after lunch? You can head towards the games, city tours or the bar.
The programme at the Binnenrotte started at lunchtime and continued until drinks time.
Payment is done by using the wristbands that all participants receive (money has to be charged by yourself) and the cups are reusable. This year’s Eurekaweek events will once again be without thousands of disposable cups.
The crew also gets to relax a bit before they have to move on to the next part: the concert at Now & Wow or the party at the Maassilo.
