Interim administrator to replace Executive Board member Bart Straatman

Eddy Hus has been appointed by Erasmus University Rotterdam’s Supervisory Board as an interim member of the Executive Board as of 1 June 2017. Hus will be replacing Bart Straatman.
Straatman originally planned to retire on 1 September, but has decided to lay down his activities at an earlier date for health reasons. Over the past few months, Straatman has already been handling a lighter portfolio in connection with his health.
‘A great pity’
In the view of the Supervisory Board, it is ‘a great pity’ that Bart Straatman will not be able to complete his second term. It expressed its ‘tremendous appreciation’ for Straatman’s contributions since he first joined the Executive Board in February 2010.
The University will be organising an official farewell event for Bart Straatman after the summer. The University is presently working to recruit Straatman’s successor.
Eddy Hus has previously served as an interim administrator at NHL Hogeschool, Radboud University and Hanze University of Applied Sciences. Before this, he worked as a consultant. Hus studied Economics at the University of Amsterdam.
