Just like the outdoor festival season, summer holidays are over and real life is about to resume. But don’t be too sad, because as far as parties are concerned, you definitely won’t be bored in September. It will be a very cool month with high-quality techno labels and artists playing at Factory 010 and Toffler, who will be guaranteed to turn your September upside down.
Factory 010: Strobe presents MORD Records
When two immensely local techno labels join forces and throw a party at one of Rotterdam’s most beautiful party venues, local students and techno fans know where to go. Strobe Presents MORD Records, held at Factory 010 this Saturday, 10 September, will be loud and booming with capital Ls and Bs. Bas Mooy himself (label director at MORD Records) will be turning buttons and brainwashing many revelers with his dark hits, as will eight other MORD Records stars. Tickets are currently €21 each, but don’t put off buying your ticket, because I’m convinced this event will sell out before the weekend!
Toffler: Blawan
Having played at Awakenings and several Amsterdam Dance Events, Blawan will be a guest at Toffler on Saturday, 24 September. Using “Expect the unexpected” as their motto, he and his partner will treat you to a set full of surprises, including both well-known and lesser-known tracks representing genres such as 2step, garage, several types of house music and (obviously) techno. A €13 ticket will give you a fun and cheerful night in the tunnel, so go and enjoy all these various music styles!
Factory 010: Visual
Visual, held on Saturday, 24 September, will be a techno extravaganza that will absolutely live up to its name. The large room of the breathtaking Factory 010 venue will be equipped with gigantic LED screens presenting visuals that will most definitely blow your mind. Furthermore, Visual will present a wide array of artists ranging from Drumcode artists Industrialyzer and Juan Sanchez to the surprising Ringo. Tickets will be €17.50 each, and you’ll be guaranteed to have a brilliant night out. And if that weren’t good enough, the organisers have just announced that this stunning party won’t finish until 8am!
Tip of the month: never buy too many drink tokens at once! Remember that token booths are open all night, so it would be a waste of money to get stuck with a whole bunch of tokens you won’t be able to use after the party.
