Eurekaweek day 1: Opening ceremony, campus day and Rotterdam Roulette

Monday marks the official start of Eurekaweek 2025, with the schedule including the opening ceremony, the Campus Day and Rotterdam Roulette.

With a live performance of the Rotterdam song at Ahoy, the Eurekaweek kicks off today. During the opening ceremony, all participants will be warmly welcomed in Rotterdam and at Erasmus University. The ceremony includes a procession by professors and student boards, a live performance of the Rotterdam song by the Hermes House Band, and a speech by rector magnificus Jantine Schuit.

Afterwards, students will head to the campus for Campus Day, where they will get to know various associations and organisations (including EM!) in the fields of sport, study, culture and more. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions or to sign up with one of the many organisations.

The day will conclude with Rotterdam Roulette at two party locations: Annabel and Sahara. Participants can choose where to go. Additionally, there will be activities on Monday evening such as bouldering at Monk in Hillegersberg-Zuid, jeu-de-boules and karaoke in Vijverhofstraat, and a pub quiz at Mamarazzi on Witte de With.
