Nominee Pim hopes medical students enjoy their studies more
Pim den Boon (24) is one of the six nominees for the Student of the Year Award. He studies Medicine at Erasmus MC and is determined to address important problems faced by junior doctors. He aims to prevent them from feeling exhausted and drifting into a burnout. Another key desire is to create a more inclusive program where everyone feels welcome.
Moreover, he wants to expand people’s understanding of what doctors can do and the many important roles they play in healthcare. On top of that he aims to remind medical students to enjoy their studies more: “Especially medical students, we tend to forget to enjoy our studies a bit.”
Pim’s ideas and efforts have earned him a nomination for Student of the Year 2023 because people believed his commitment deserves recognition.
