In addition to English, the mental health app ROOM is now also available in Dutch. Through the app, students can do exercises to work on their mental health and personal development.

The university launched the app in 2024, enabling students to reduce their stress through scientifically grounded exercises based on approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. Every day, the app asks how you’re doing and provides stress-reducing tips tailored to you, such as breathing exercises. In addition, ROOM provides explanations of the therapeutic approaches the app uses. For example, the app explains how positive psychology works.
The university spent years developing the app. ROOM is free to download and available to all students and staff at Erasmus University.
