Definitive re-opening date for University Library

The die is cast: the UL will reopen this year. Students will be welcome to start using the library again from Monday, 29 May. The re-opening will create 900 additional study spots on campus.
It was announced last week that the university will not have to repeat the tender procedure for the new furnishings of the library. The judge’s verdict means that the delay caused by the lawsuit will not be too bad.
First glimpse
The building is currently undergoing the final constructional adjustments, after which it will be furnished. Students and staff will be welcome on Tuesday, 21 February, between noon and 2pm, to catch a first glimpse of the renovated UL. The architect and the team of renovators will be present that afternoon to answer questions.
