Lecture by Foreign Trade Minister 18 February
On Thursday 18 February the Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade, Mr Frank Heemskerk, will be visiting Erasmus University Rotterdam and hold a lecture about the financial crisis.
In his lecture he will elaborate on the impact and effect of the economic crisis on the Netherlands, with special emphasis on the consequences for foreign trade. Furthermore he will discuss the challenges that have arisen from the economic crisis, especially the unemployment rate and the consequences of the crisis on economic growth. Finally he will present possible policy options to fight the crisis and achieve sustainable growth.
The lecture will be held at the Congress Center in room M1-12 starting at 11:00. The event is organized by EFR and the department of Applied Microeconomics and open to all students of Erasmus University; there is no registration required.
