Homeworkers experience difficulties due to public transport strike
Staff need the affected system MyApps to log into their digital working environment with their own PC or laptop when they’re off campus. The system’s maximum user capacity is 250, and on Tuesday that limit was reached for the first time ever.
The problem couldn’t be solved on the day itself. The university is looking to increase capacity for the future.
Luckily, not all homeworkers ran into trouble. E-mail accounts could easily be reached through the web-based version of Outlook. Staff who work on a university laptop access their e-mail through a different system — @wEURk — and they experienced no difficulties.
