University doubles funds raised in Erasmus Charity Run
The funds raised as part of the Erasmus Charity Run were presented on Thursday afternoon to the Executive Board and the board of the Erasmus Education Fund. The Executive Board promised to double the 13,400.51 raised.
Last Sunday, more than 300 staff and students of the Erasmus University took part in the Rotterdam Marathon. Most of the participants ran in the quarter marathon, although a small group entered for the full distance. EUR employee Rick Salomé (quarter marathon) and student Tautvydas Vaicius (full marathon) were the fastest from Erasmus.
The proceeds will go to the Erasmus Education Fund, a fund with the objective to provide scholarships to underprivileged, talented young people, so that they can develop into future leaders. ES
