Hey, you there! Clean up. Do you have notes like that in the office too? Send them to us
Your colleague’s dirty dishes or someone nicking your lunch from the fridge: people use witty or passive-aggressive notes to keep their colleagues in line. EM is collecting the best ones – send them to us!

The freezer in the EM newsroom is left open rather often.

“Please, please, please, check if this door is closed.” The word ‘closed’ is underlined in red and followed by five hefty exclamation marks. And just in case that isn’t clear enough, there’s also a post-it note next to the A4 sheet: “Is it closed?!” As you can see, the freezer in the EM newsroom is left open rather often.
There are plenty of notes on the sixth floor of Mandeville too, helping to make shared office life a little more bearable, whether passive-aggressively or otherwise. “Hey, you there! Put your own dirty dishes in the dishwasher.” Staff and student associations share the floor, which sometimes leads to quite a few annoyances.
So EM wants to know: what’s the best, funniest, most annoying or most poetic note posted up at your workplace? Picture editor Esther Dijkstra (herself the author of the directives on the freezer) is collecting the best examples for a photo feature. Is there a note like that in your kitchen, office or corridor? Send it to [email protected].
