Students gamble online: ‘It’s a big problem for me’
Online gambling has been legal for two years now in the Netherlands. Reporter Zuzia asked students what they think about gambling, what type of gambling they do, and if online platforms made it easier to get addicted.
“It’s an addiction, you’re stuck in a system’, one student said. Another student admitted that he gambles for a living. Among the types of gambling, sports betting seemed to be the most popular.
When asked about the effects of online platforms on making gambling more accessible, one student admitted ‘I think for me it’s like a big problem.’
