Laurentius as the last to honour the singing tradition
For years it was a tradition that the new members of different student associations sang to each other (better said: shouted) during the opening ceremony of the new academic year. But this year, only Laurentius’ new members were happily singing ‘to the university’.
Preses Tristan Gayral wondered why other student associations no longer participate in singing: “Perhaps because their introduction days have already ended, so it’s not convenient for them to be here.” He did, however, call on other student associations to participate again next year. “It had always been a good battle, so it would be fantastic if we all stand here again together.”
How well did Laurentius’ members sing? And do they know the society songs by heart now? Watch the video here.
