EM TV newsflash: AI in Executive Board speeches, Dutch courses hard to get in and do students still dance?
Half of the speeches by university board members Annelien Bredenoord en Jantine Schuit are written or rewritten with AI, according to detector Pangram. Recent speeches by Executive Board members Annelien Bredenoord en Jantine Schuit contain AI-generated parts, according to AI detector tool Pangram. International students are struggling to secure a spot in the Dutch courses by the Language & Training Centre. Some students compare it to trying to get a superstar concert ticket. And with clubs closing, expensive drinks and students who drink kombucha instead of beer, does Rotterdam’s student night life still exist? In a new series, EM investigates what nightlife looks like in 2026.
