Staff required to identify themselves with new employee card

All Erasmus University staff will receive a new employee card and be required to use it to identify themselves on campus. The old employee cards will no longer work from 1 August.

A university spokesperson says that the introduction of new employee cards is part of the plan to improve security on campus. EUR aims to use the card system to prevent people from outside the university from entering the buildings.

Employee cards must be visible

Staff must visibly wear their employee card in the Sanders Building and Erasmus Building, where the Executive Board and General Management Directorate are located. According to the spokesperson, staff are required to identify themselves on campus when requested by security.

The new employee card has a photo on it, making it easier to recognise you as a member of staff. The employee card allows you to use facilities on campus, such as the car park, lockers, printers and coffee machines.

Staff can apply for a new employee card via MyEUR.
