Studium Generale’s 84 hour film contest was won by the team The Good Girls on Tuesday night. The horror film titled Smoke Sesh got the loudest applause during the presentation at the Erasmus Pavilion.
Smoke Sesh tells the story of two students who discover a trapdoor in their student house, leading to a dark crawl space under their house. What happens there, you can see for yourself in the film below.

The script for the 7-minute video was written by students Ali Alshamayleh, Nino Vanaria and Teodora Comanescu, with Ali doing the filming and editing, Nino and Teodora playing roles in the film. Another lead role is played by Rio Monier.
According to organiser Kirstin Feberwee of Studium Generale, a record number of teams participated in this year’s short film competition for EUR students. Initially, there were as many as ten teams; in the end, eight of them submitted a video. According to Feberwee, the themes this year were strikingly dark: “Maybe it has something to do with the weather.”
