The show included various acts as artists played the piano, sang, and danced. While all of them are generally enthusiastic about performing on stage, the good cause motivated them even more. “It is an emotional topic for the whole team, so there was no doubt we wanted to be here”, Annika Klingspor from Erasmus Dance Society said. Pianist Simos Garyfallidis took the opportunity of following his passion and raising donations for Ukraine at the same time. “I love performing, and this was the ideal chance to take part.”
‘It’s warming my heart’
Communication and Media student Anna Rudya read out a Ukrainian poem, a personal letter about her perception of the war and performed with her dance team. Being Ukrainian herself, she stated that ‘it’s crazy that the reasons for organising this event are my country and the horror that is happening there’. While Anna was happy seeing a large audience visiting the event, Simos pointed out the importance of unity during this time of war. “By being united, we can be stronger.”
