Erasmus Enterprise kicks off formally
By pressing a button, which caused black confetti to shoot into the air, EUR alumnus and Rotterdam councillor Vincent Karremans opened Erasmus Enterprise last Thursday. The centre, situated in the N-Building, will be a place where beginner entrepreneurs can meet established investors.

“I wish Erasmus Enterprise existed when I started my entrepreneurship,” Vincent Karremans said before officially declaring the organisation open for business. He told the attendees that he wrote his very first business plan on a blackboard in that very same N-Building. “An organisation such as Erasmus Enterprise could have saved me from the mistakes I made when I first became an entrepreneur.”
The official opening of Erasmus Enterprise also involved panel interviews in which subjects such as female entrepreneurship and social impact were discussed. Entrepreneurs such as Michiel Muller (Picnic), Machtelt Groothuis (Rubio Impact Investors) and Hans van Ierland (HPE Growth) joined the conversation. In addition, several young entrepreneurs who are having a great deal of impact and are innovative according to Enterprise were presented with awards.
