Home worker Hans van den Berg: ‘I was booted off an online meeting’
Hans van den Berg spends his working hours in front of his desk, which is situated under an attic window. “I like working here, because I have a nice amount of light here,” he says in his vlog. “And when I open the window, I get a little bit of a breeze.”
It is from here that Hans teaches his lectures and attends University Council meetings. He has found that online meetings don’t always go off without a hitch. “Today I was booted off an online meeting. It was either because my Internet connection was a bit unreliable or because Microsoft Teams was overloaded.” Hans says that others have encountered similar technical issues. “But the IT department is working hard to fix them.”
All things taken together, Hans is lucky to be working from home from such a nice place. “But even so, I hope this situation won’t go on for too much longer,” he says.
