Campus Talk: junk or healthy food?
The Super Study Weeks are in full swing and it’s of course impossible to study on an empty stomach. After hours of struggling with notes in crowded study areas, most students take a quick fix to satisfy their hunger. But will that be puff pastry or something healthy?
Marketing student Demetrio usually opts for fruits. “I prefer a banana,” he says. “It gives you the energy you need for studying.” Economics student Wang also snacks healthily, but for another reason: “I’m on a diet.”
“If you’re looking for junk food, there really are many choices here,” notes reporter Pietro Vigilanza when he walks around the university supermarket. So it’s understandable that several students choose mouth-watering but sugar-rich snacks such as cinnamon buns or croissants.
