Into the studio: Pietro takes a ballet class
You wouldn’t think that you’re going to sweat so much from ballet exercise, but reporter Pietro Vigilanza proves just the opposite. Pietro took a ballet class at Erasmus Sport and found that ballet dancing is just as intensive as the sports he is more familiar with, such as football or basketball.
Pietro was the only man to participate in the ballet-barre lesson of instructor Anne-Marie. The lesson started with a warm-up, after which the ladies and Pietro did ballet movements, with a focus on flexibility and core strength.
This was also the first time for Management student Elizabetta to do ballet exercises. “I like it,” she says. Economics student Carolien agrees. “These exercises have improved my muscle condition.” The class is open to anyone who wants to try, said instructor Anne-Marie. “These exercises would give you lean, strong muscles.”
