In the search for new accommodation for first year students at Erasmus University College (EUC), EUC is looking at Stadhuisplein. On the south side of the square, 200 first years could be accommodated.

This is reported by the AD. In the newspaper, dean Maarten Frens explains that the new student accommodation will replace the Student Hotel on Oostzeedijk, where EUC students are now obliged to rent a room. “That was a temporary arrangement from the start and we’ve been looking for a replacement location for some time.” The first intake of students will be able to move into the accommodation in September. However, first the contracts need to be signed.

A spokesperson did not want to officially confirm the AD story to EM. It has been agreed with the contractor not to provide information about the accommodation until the deal has been finalised.
