Fashion “I am a really practical person, yet I like clothes that are not practical at all. So I try to mix and match items, searching for a balance between the two poles. I decide what to wear depending on my daily schedule. If I have to walk a lot, for instance, I wear sneakers just like the ones I’m wearing now. Life changes the way people dress, so one needs to be versatile.”
Artistic expression “I used to paint and create collages. Unfortunately university has stolen a lot of my time, so I don’t dedicate myself to that anymore. Consequently, I channelled my artistic tendencies into fashion, as dressing in the morning is a necessary step. For me, fashion is like a collage. At the end of the day you piece together different items that initially might not look harmonious together to form a composition.”
Future “Next year I will be graduating and I’m not planning to start with a master’s right away. I would like to work first to understand what I really want to do. I want to end up as a curator eventually. I love creating a concept, expanding on it and carry my vision through. For now, I want to soak up all the creative and innovative energy from the surrounding environment.”
Favorite thing
My wallet “My wallet is one of my most prized possessions. It reminds me of a time where I stood my ground and made my own decision. I bought it during a shopping trip with my boyfriend. I couldn’t choose between two wallets, the one I have now and another one. I tend to be easily influenced by my boyfriend’s opinion and he didn’t like the wallet I have now. Nevertheless, that time I was determined to listen to my own mind.”
