Medical information leaked following EUR website hack

During the hack of Erasmus University’s website, the details of 17,000 people were taken. This was announced by the university on the same website.
The hacked information relates to visitors who filled in data on the web forms on the website. 5,600 cases concern bank or credit card details, 3,350 cases concern a leaked citizen service number (BSN) or passport number. According to the university, 4,700 cases fall into the category ‘welfare/other’.
Studentpsychologen
It includes medical data, for example of students who have applied to see a student psychologist. This might be information about personal circumstances, such as health, diet, allergies, absenteeism and return to work.
The hack of the Erasmus University website, www.eur.nl, was discovered on Sunday 10 November. Erasmus Magazine website is hosted elsewhere and was not affected.
