A (junior) doctor has to practice a lot before he or she can enter the operating room. For their exercises, students and doctors of Erasmus MC usually use bones of deceased people. However, the supply does not meet the demand for it.
Therefore from now on, Erasmus MC will start to use 3D-printed bones as well. The Dutch TV news station NOS shows what that will look like.
