Free parking thanks to a lightning strike

A yet unaware driver puts his car in reverse, looks around, changes his mind and drives into the garage anyway. Other drivers are waiting next to the ticket machine near the gates of Erasmus Plaza. The open gates of the parking garage below Erasmus Plaza are the cause of some confusion among employees this Tuesday morning.
The reason: lightning struck on campus during the thunderstorm of Monday night. The parking systems went out of service. To prevent chaos, the University Support Centre opened the gates for the day.
Paying will resume on Wednesday
For the rest of Tuesday, parking on campus will be free of charge. On Wednesday, the problems are supposed to be solved. So then every driver will have to pay again.
