Every Monday,  I AM puts another fashionable campus inhabitant in the spotlight. This time: Teodora Dodan (19). She’s a first year  International Business Administration (IBA) student.

Style. “My style is not very feminine, I like to wear these Doc Martens for example. I don’t think I can really describe my style, but if I had to I would say indie or rock. I just wear whatever I feel comfortable in, that’s how I decide on what to buy and wear. If other people don’t like it I don’t care that much.”

World citizen. “My dad is a diplomat so I have always been living in different places. I have lived in Romania, Denmark, Greece, Morocco and now Rotterdam. It can be hard sometimes, one time I was placed in a class where everybody spoke French but I didn’t speak a word of it. Even though we moved often, I never felt lonely and always made friends. Whenever we were living in a new country we always travelled around, my parents wanted to see everything. One time we drove all the way from Morocco to Romania so that our dog didn’t have to go on the plane.”

Greece. “Greece has a special place in my heart. I have a lot of great memories of that country. I remember a little road with white and blue houses. There also was a huge flower field and you could see the sea. I always think of that as my favorite spot in the world. Of the islands I like Santorini the most, the sunset in Oia is amazing. Greek food is also really great; souvlaki, gyros, greek salads, I like it all. I don’t want to move back to Greece though, a lot of things have changed over the past couple of years, so it wouldn’t be the same as when I was living there.”

Music. “I listen to music at least two to three hours a day, it doesn’t really matter what I’m doing. I listen to it when I’m with friends, when I wake up or while studying. My taste in music has changed over the years, I am way more calm right now than I used to be. I listen more to indie music now, before I used to listen to bands like AC/DC and Guns N’ Roses.”
