Medical students are stuck in Bali

Sixteen medical students of the Erasmus University fly back to the Netherlands because of the volcano eruption on the nearby island of Lombok. “We would love to go home and trying everything to get this done. But till now nothing worked,”says medical student Nikki de Jong ( 20 ) at the Dutch newspaper AD.
The group should fly back last Tuesday to the Netherlands. They had five days on holiday on the island of Bali after a ten-week study tour to Jakarta. Having been such a long time away from home, the students want to go home. De Jong: “Fortunately no one have money problems, but the situation is starting to get difficult. Some need to work, others would love to see their family again.”
The students hope to fly this weekend.
