Starting Thursday night, 250 refugees will be hosted in the sports hall of Erasmus University, Chair of the Executive Board Pauline van der Meer Mohr said on Twitter.
Refugees will probably stay for 72 hours. On Thursday afternoon, a calamities team of the university will talk about the organisation of the shelter.
A spokesperson of mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb says there are no refugees on their way to campus. “If there will be a shelter in Rotterdam, it will be on Woudestein. But at this time, it is still uncertain whether refugees will come to Rotterdam at all.”
