Minute’s silence for victims of terror attack at Kenyan university
Gepubliceerd op:
The European University Association EUA is calling on universities in Europe to observe a moment of silence on Monday, in memory of the victims of the terror attack on a university in Kenya.
On the 2nd of April, armed men forced their way onto the campus of the Garissa University College, in the northern part of Kenya. 147 people were killed, and many wounded. The attack was claimed by the terror group Al-Shabaab.
On Monday, the offices of the EUA in Brussels will commemorate the victims at noon. They ask European universities to do the same. In The Netherlands, this will be slightly difficult: all universities are closed on Monday because of King’s Day celebrations. HOP
