Rainy unveiling of Christmas tree on campus

Outside, the Christmas tree was exposed to the rain. But due to the terrible weather, the festivities had been moved inside the Foodcourt. “Despite the rain, the Christmas spirit remains”, Tycho Mol said, while wearing a Christmas hat. He is one of the organizers of the small festival. After the Foodcourt was full and pancakes and mugs of non-alcolholic glühwein had been distributed to everyone,the dean of the law faculty spoke.

“This is not necessarily about Christmas, this is just a good excuse to have a drink with each other”, said lawyer Suzan Stoter warmly. “I want to bring you the joy of the world in a special way.” This ‘special way’ was a five-person choir, that performed Christmas songs. “These are really old-fashioned English Christmas songs,” a spectator noticed during the performance. “Very nice, the way the vocal parts run.”

“Now I think I’m going to light the Christmas tree,” said Stoter, while she looked doubtfully to the stormy outdoors. Whilst the audience reluctantly moved outside, to shelter under the Food Court roof, Stoter lighted the Christmas tree on a campus turned dark.
