Executive Board president Van der Meer Mohr will leave EUR in 2016
Pauline van der Meer Mohr, president of the Executive Board, will leave Erasmus University early 2016 for a new role at the HSBC Bank.
Van der Meer Mohr will become a non-executive member of the board at the HSBC bank in London. Although she will not hold a full time position, it would be impossible to combine with her current role at EUR. The HSBC bank announced the appointment yesterday.
Continued dedication
Pauline van der Meer Mohr comments on her departure next year: “It is with great satisfaction and a sense of deep gratitude that I look back on almost six wonderful years at Erasmus University. In 2016 it is time for a new president to take over the baton so that I can devote myself to the many other interests I have always had. Until then I will continue to dedicate all my energy and enthusiasm to making this excellent institution grow and flourish.”
Appreciation and gratitude
Supervisory Board Chairman Hans Smits: ‘The Supervisory Board is sorry to hear about Pauline’s decision, but it respects her wish to follow another career path in 2016. The Board wishes to express its appreciation and gratitude for everything achieved at Erasmus University since 2010 under Pauline’s presidency.’
The search for a new president will start soon, the Supervisory Board reports. The process will be carried out in close collaboration with representatives of the academic community. WG
