Tram 7 will no longer run to the campus from January

RET is to begin major works to the tram 7 track on 4 January, which will take around a year. The tram line will no longer run to the campus during the works.

Over the coming year, the tram stops will be raised and a new track laid. RET is hoping that these small changes will make it easier to travel by tram. The transport company is promising replacement transport for tram 7 users. There are still other trams, buses and metros that will stop in the vicinity of the campus. The Groene Wetering stop will no longer be used after the works and the final Erasmus University stop will be moved a little further to the north.

Other works

It’s not only the tram stops and track that will be overhauled during the works; the cycle paths, footpaths, road and waste water system will also be upgraded. The intention is also to give the area a greener look. To achieve this, the council already started moving the trees on Burgemeester Oudlaan last month.
