Following a number of maintenance works that have occurred in the area during the last couple of months, the accessibility of Campus Woudestein itself will be affected by the imminent works on Burgemeester Oudlaan, starting April 11th.
Since last year’s fall,‘s-Gravenweg has been undergoing a series of improvements concerning the tram railways, the bicycles path and the sidewalk. This street’s segment has been closed off to cars and trams, consequently affecting the regular functioning of tram 7, one of the means of transportation most used by the university students living in Kralingen and surrounding neighborhoods.
How to get there
The campus’ main entrance on Burgemeester Oudlaan will be accessible by bike, following an alternative route, or by car via Abram van Rijckevorselweg. On the other side of the campus, the entrance on Kralingse Zoom will be functioning regularly. The university grounds will be accessible by car via Thomas Morelaan.
Time period
The maintenance works carried out by the municipality of Rotterdam in cooperation with RET, the public transport company, are expected to be completed by April 2017. Tram users should be expecting to use tram line 7 again starting from January next year.
