EM TV newsflash: camera rules update, council opposes 1500 euros tuition increases and a new art exhibition

According to new camera regulations, AI face and emotion recognition by security cameras will be strictly forbidden and footage can be saved only two weeks instead of a month. The new rules will soon be adopted. The old camera regulations stem from 2013. In April, an investigative article by EM found that the Execute Board didn’t follow the old camera regulations for years. For example, they placed new cameras without the required consent from the University Council.

Also, tuition fee increases for non-European students should be limited and more predictable, the University Council said in a letter to the Executive Board They have to pay almost 9 per cent or 1500 euros more next year.
