Academic anger, rain rage and exam exasperation: where students go to soften their stress
From exam frustrations to bad financial decisions or just the pouring rain. More often than not, students are stressed or annoyed on campus. To cope, students have discovered a variety of places across campus to release their rages.
Coping happens in various places: Langeveld, the gym, the campus supermarket or even the piano room. The chosen method to decompress is diverse as well. One student said that when he’s angry, he will enter an empty classroom in Langeveld and just start jumping and screaming to mellow his mood.
There are other ways to sooth the nerves. A student recommended to simply digest your despair. “The glucose increase from eating makes me happy”, he said while consuming a croissant. Two other students found that going to café In de Smitse and having some beers really brings down the burden. Their recommendation: “Drink as much as needed.”
