EM TV newsflash: Study pressure decreased, highest point of Tinbergen and bureau investigates ESHCC culture

Every week an overview of the most important news about the Erasmus University. This week: Fewer students in the Netherlands struggle with high study pressure. A national survey found that around 75 per cent of students are satisfied with their programme. The number of students experiencing excessive study pressure declined from 38 per cent in 2021 to 31 per cent.

Also, the renovated Tinbergen building has reached its highest point. The milestone was
marked with traditional Dutch pannenbier – ‘roof beer’ – a celebration for
construction workers. And the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication has hired an external bureau to assess the work culture, transparency and inclusion within the faculty, after more than fifty staff members voiced their concerns about an unsafe working environment within the faculty in November.
