University Library temporarily evacuated because of suitcase left behind
Students had to briefly leave the University Library on Tuesday morning because of a suspicious suitcase.

Employees of the library found the suitcase on Tuesday morning around 9 o’clock. According to a spokesperson for the university, protocol advises staff members to call in the police if they find a suitcase or bag unattended. On arrival, police officers quickly established that the suitcase didn’t pose a danger. About an hour after the evacuation, visitors were allowed back into the building.
It turned out that an international student had left the suitcase behind. It has since been returned to its owner. The incident won’t have any consequences for the student, the spokesperson said.
