‘I care more about the students behind the white coats’
“To be succinct, I feel very good about the nomination”, Amir summarises. Having achieved a remuneration policy for the medical internships of his fellow classmates, kickstarting a coaching programme, and pushing for a fairer testing system, Amir feels that all his efforts in student advocacy are now being seen thanks to the Student of the Year Award.
“Here, all the medical students dream of wearing this white coat and walking through the hospital, but I care more about the students behind these white coats”, Amir concludes.
