In memoriam Timothy Heyliger

We remember him as an enthusiastic and ambitious master’s student, first within the Financial Economics specialisation and since 2013 within the Quantitative Finance specialisation. At the time, Timothy made an energetic start with his research and was well on his way to a nice thesis. But a particularly difficult period due to tragic family circumstances forced him to discontinue his master’s study. This year he would pick up where he left off, so he informed us recently.
Timothy will live in our memories as an enthusiastic and ambitious student. To his wife, daughter, family and loved ones we express our condolences and hope that they find support in processing this indescribable grief.
Prof. dr. Patrick Groenen, dean of Erasmus School of Economics
