EM TV newsflash: Canvas hacked, only EUR and UvA ban fossil fuel companies and tuition fees rise
Every week an overview of the most important news about the Erasmus University. This week: Canvas is down because of a hack by digital data thieves. They’ve got names, email addresses, student numbers and correspondence between teachers and students. The group is demanding a ransom. The university has pulled the plug on Canvas until further notice.
Also, the Erasmus University and the UvA are the only universities in the country who have strict rules about collaborations with fossil fuel companies like Shell. And in September 2027 the statutory tuition fee will likely climb to 2,771 euros.
