EM TV newsflash: Two students win Rotterdam Sports Award, EUR has the most top-level salaries, and cold in Sanders
Every week an overview of the most important news about the Erasmus University. This week: Economics student Linn van Aanholt and Econometrics student Elise de Jong have won the Rotterdam Topsport Awards. Linn, who was European and World champion rowing last year, is Sportswoman 2025 and Elise, who won gold at the European Championships under 20 in pole vault, is Sports Talent 2025.
Also, the EUR has thirteen professors and deans who earned more than a minister in 2024. almost 20,000 euros per month or 233,000 per year full-time. This means the university has the most big earners out of all the uni’s in the country. And the heating system in Sanders was broken last month.
