EM TV newsflash: EUR says sorry to Israeli sociologist, student housing Toepad still on table, and a new mural
Every week an overview of the most important news about the Erasmus University. This week: The university apologises to Eva Illouz. The French-Israeli sociologist, who is affiliated with the Hebrew University, was going to give a lecture for Erasmus Love Lab, but the research group cancelled because they felt uncomfortable. The rector magnificus now wrote that ‘a sense of discomfort and doubt / should never be a reason to cancel’.
Also, the construction of student houses on the Jewish cemetery will proceed after all. And the staircases of Langeveld are being decorated with a colourful mural.
