Let’s Talk: Is Diversity Travel worth the hassle?

“We’re spending more time, paying more money the quality is lower, and we have less control.” Staff members are complaining about travelling issues with Diversity Travel. What is your experience?

Since January, staff members of the university are obliged to book travels through Diversity Travel. This was implemented by the university for various reasons, to monitor sustainably, having access to a 24-hour emergency service and because of European tender laws. 

 However, there are major issues with the platform: Some employees pay double the amount for hotels, some have to travel for longer, and some have a hard time navigating the website to find their desired accommodations. There are also a lot of technical difficulties, and the customer service is lacking, according to staff members. 

What should the university do? “Pause it immediately. Or scrap it”, one staff member said. But isn’t saving the planet worth some money and time?  Or can you already do that without Diversity Travel? And what are your personal experiences with it? Let us know in the form below!
