‘Nice and cosy’ on RSG’s terrace despite rain
While the sun still shone occasionally during the campus market, it rained cats and dogs on Tuesday afternoon. Nevertheless, freshmen and members of student association Rotterdam Studenten Gezelschap (better known as RSG) enjoyed themselves on their terraces.
On the purple-decorated terrace of student union RSG, three students sit on beanbags chatting. “It’s very cosy here”, says one of them. “Nice and cosy together, then you don’t feel the cold of the rain.” They say they are looking forward to tonight’s party: “First to the cantus, then off to our association for DJ Sam Hofman’s performance.”
Adjustment programme
Fortunately, the association did not have to adjust the programme because of the rain, says president Ruben van Nijnatten. “We only had to shorten the afternoon programme, a puzzle tour of the city”, he says.
On a table next to Van Nijnatten, six members play a card game. If someone loses, he has to empty his beer glass. “OK, who is the loser now?”, asks a student. His table mate: “I don’t know anymore, let’s all drink together.”
