The organisation sent out the following message: “The university is shut down. Today, we will be elsewhere. Campus totally closed
Wednesday evening, the Executive Board announced that all the buildings are closed and all the events on campus are cancelled. This is a request from the Rotterdam ‘triangle’ – consisting of the municipality, police and the Public Prosecution Service. The Rotterdam triangle is responsible for security in the city. Their lack of knowledge of the size and nature of the protest made them request the closure of the buildings, a spokesperson for the mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb said.
