EM presents three-part podcast on the unlucky student generation (in Dutch)
Is this generation of students so unlucky or are they exaggerating? Does occupying a building to protest climate change really have an effect or is it just annoying fellow students? In the Dutch-spoken podcast De Brabo en de Pessimist, university council members Erin van Gestel and Friso Roos mostly disagree with each other, but remain sociable.

Students Erin (Management of International Social Challenges) and Friso (Economics and Law) are both members of the University Council, Friso for the Aeffix party and Erin as the only independent seat. Erin comes from a village in Brabant and Friso from the city. She likes to see the positive in people, Friso has a more cynical attitude. Despite all their differences, they get along well and often have lively discussions on topics that affect students.
In the first episode of De Brabo en de Pessimist, the duo talks about the ‘unlucky generation’. Is this generation of students really so unlucky or is it all not that terrible? And what is the point of labelling yourself an unlucky student, Friso in particular wonders. Listen to the first episode now on Spotify, iTunes and other podcast platforms.
