‘I only made a complaint’
Kyra is a student and intern at the Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management, where she researches the experiences of people with physical disabilities in higher education. Leaving her office in the Bayle Building though is like sliding down a roller coaster, and not in the fun way. The recent renovations, meant to improve the inaccessibility issues, made things worse for Kyra as the slope to enter and exit the building has become even steeper.
Examples like this are found all around Campus Woudestein, which drove Kyra to speak out and denounce the inaccessibility of the campus, which put a lot of debate in motion. “I didn’t really do much, I just made a complaint”, Kyra smiles modestly.
