As the chair of the Erasmus Sustainability Hub, Berfu has increasingly connected members of the Erasmus community to align to her vision for an ‘equitable and sustainable’ future. The drafting of a sustainability action petition alongside different student organizations and her participation in the G20 Summit being key examples of the latter.
Regardless of her achievements, Berfu believes in the power of the Erasmian community at large. “I know so many amazing, inspiring, and talented people at out university. So I believe that all of us deserve to be the Student of the Year.”
