Student association NSR gala proves coronavirus hotbed
At a gala organised by student association NSR last Thursday, many of those present have coronavirus. This was reported by RTV Rijnmond on Tuesday afternoon. Of the 250 students present, 78 have now tested positive.

“We followed all the protocols”, says president Bas Radder of the Navigators Student Association Rotterdam (NSR). Students who came to the party were required to do a test via Testen voor Toegang and present a negative test result. The association then checked QR codes and IDs at the door.
But it still went wrong. “Someone who had tested negative on Thursday morning still tested positive a day after the party”, says the president. Radder himself had no problems. “And luckily I tested negative too.”
Other events organised by the association are not affected yet. The association is closed for the summer and for a refurbishment of the building.
